How to compress image to 100 KB

    1. Check the target size (100 KB is already set; change it if your form needs something else).
    2. Drop your photo into the box above, or click to select it.
    3. Download the result. The new size is shown next to the file with a ✓ when it is under 100 KB.

Where a 100 KB limit is common

A 100 KB cap is typical for application portals, forum avatars and forms with a 100 KB limit. Phone photos are usually 2–5 MB, so they need to be shrunk significantly before they are accepted.

    How the automatic compression works

Pixverter tries progressively lower JPG quality settings and picks the highest one that still fits the target. Only if that is not enough does it reduce the pixel dimensions, because a slightly smaller photo looks much better than a heavily compressed one.

For a 100 KB target, most phone photos keep a resolution that looks sharp on any screen.

    Tips

    Frequently asked questions

Can every image be compressed to 100 KB?

Almost always. If the photo is extremely detailed, Pixverter reduces its dimensions until it fits; you will see a ✓ when the file is under 100 KB.

    Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Pixverter processes every image inside your browser, on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is safe for personal photos and documents.

    Which format does it produce?

JPG by default, because every form accepts it. You can switch to WebP or PNG; PNG is lossless, so only the dimensions can be reduced.

Can I compress several photos to the same size?

Yes. Each image is compressed to the target separately. Free handles 5 at a time; Pro is unlimited.
